SIM2 Broadens Its Line of Home Cinema Projection Systems for a Complete Custom Fit
New models in the LED-based MICO and 3-chip DLP C3X LUMIS series expand options for custom home cinema integration options
Miramar, FL, June 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- SIM2 has been on a quest for innovation and performance since it first appeared on the world market almost 20 years ago. Today, celebrated by the endorsement of famed film director Francis Ford Coppola, the company is focusing more than ever on the custom integration market and its vertical development. SIM2’s company mission is to provide the custom-installation industry with a line of products designed to satisfy the most discerning customer. Defining this vision, SIM2 adds depth to its MICO line with three new models, the MICO CONNECT 60, MICO 50 ST and MICO CONNECT 60 ST, as well as its Reference three-chip DLP C3X LUMIS series; which gains a new entry-point model, the C3X LUMIS UNO (the first DC4 three-chip DLP below $30,000); plus the first home cinema three-chip DLP HYPER-COLOR equipped model, and a dual-projector High Brightness 3D system.
“SIM2‘s prime focus is on custom integration, which has always been our core business,” said Alberto Fabiano, VP of Marketing for SIM2 USA. “During these troubled economic times, it is easy for manufacturers to lose focus and offer products that they think will appeal to consumers, with gimmicky color options and lower prices. We have dedicated our resources to expanding the product line with forward-thinking integration options built for superior performance.”
Fabiano continued, “Through a constant partnership with our dealer network worldwide, we have designed products that are recognized for their picture quality, functionality, performance and stylish European design. As a manufacturer that produces professional display devices for broadcasting, editing and military applications, to name just a few, we have always maintained our prime focus on our custom integrators and their needs within the residential market.”
The MICO series was recently launched with the MICO 50 model, boasting high-brightness and high-performance with the advantages of SIM2‘s PureLED technology for Home Cinema and Media/Living Room installations. Designed for use with large screen sizes (up to 10ft wide) the MICO 50 features BrilliantColor technology, DynamicBlack and EasyLED Software for professional calibration and control. (MICO 50: MSRP: $21,995)
MICO Connect 60 (MSRP: $23,995)
The MICO Connect 60 offers all the features and benefits of the MICO 50, with the important addition of LAN and wireless connectivity. The MICO Connect 60 is loaded with installer-friendly features such as EasyLED Software for professional calibration and control; most importantly, a newly-developed system that takes full advantage of the benefits of Ethernet and wireless control capabilities, allowing seamless integration with today’s modern home systems.
MICO 50 ST (MSRP: $22,950) & MICO Connect 60 ST (MSRP: $24,995)
The MICO 50 and MICO 60 ST (Short Throw) models share the same key characteristics as the MICO 50 and MICO Connect 60, with the advantage of an 0.67:1 lens, designed for use in rear-projection systems or anywhere an extreme short throw lens is desired. Bright, crisp images of up to 100 inches can be achieved within a depth of less than 4 feet.
For 2010, the Grand Cinema™ C3X LUMIS Series offers several layers of sophistication, maintaining its position as the sole provider of elegant, compact three-chip DLP Home Cinema Solutions. Joining the award-winning C3X LUMIS Host and C3X LUMIS are the C3X LUMIS UNO, C3X LUMIS HYPER-Color, and C3X LUMIS 3D.
C3X LUMIS UNO (MSRP: starting at $29,999)
The C3X LUMIS UNO projector conceals truly powerful capabilities and a great deal of technology within its compact cabinet, including a trio of DC4 0.95-inch, 1080p DLP® chipsets from Texas Instruments. This ‘entry-point’ model is the first three-chip 0.95 chipset model to be priced at less than $30,000. Designed for use with large screen sizes (up to 15ft wide) the UNO boasts 2000 ANSI Lumens and 9000:1 contrast ratio.
C3X LUMIS HYPER-Color (MSRP: starting at $41,995)
The C3X LUMIS HYPER-Color is a three-chip reference model, specially designed with a motorized color filter option, which allows for specified color standard requirements to be attained (e.g. DCI). This highly-specialized model is custom built to order, requiring a 30-day lead-time. Suitable for large screen sizes (up to 20ft wide), the C3X LUMIS HYPER-Color comes with the ground-breaking, 5-year lamp replacement warranty as standard.
C3X LUMIS 3D (MSRP: $79,999)
Designed for use in 3D theaters or high-end custom home cinemas, this projection duo is a precision system that will satisfy the most demanding 3D enthusiast or professional alike. The system uses Infitec 3D filter technology, with motorized 2D/3D filter selection and includes a mounting assembly with micrometric adjustment for accurate convergence. The SIM2 LUMIS 3D system does not require a silver screen material to operate correctly, allowing for optimum performance in 2D with normal content. Due to the high brightness of the units, the system can be set-up in redundancy mode for failsafe 2D entertainment. Four pairs of passive glasses are included.
