Freelance Writers Launch Six Figure Challenge to Help New Writers Earn More from Their Writing
A group of five freelance writers have announced that January 2007 will mark the start of a Six Figure Challenge at www.SixFigureWriters.com.
Philadelphia, PA, December 01, 2006 --(PR.com)-- A group of five freelance writers have joined together to launch a Six Figure Challenge for writers in 2007. The writers involved set up the challenge, and official blog at www.SixFigureWriters.com, as a means of helping each other to grow as writers, as well as allowing them to teach underpaid writers how to earn more through their writing. The goal is simple: five freelance writers will each have a goal of earning a six figure income independently over the course of one year.
The Challenge participants include Denise, Jenn, Rebecca, Rob, and Zainie; five writers from the US and Asia who met through a popular webmaster community, where they saw many writers being grossly underpaid for their work on a daily basis. Rather than simply trying to tell newer writers that there were other options to earn a livable income as a freelance writer, the participants decided to put their own writing careers on display over the course of one year to show that, even in the world of freelance writing, actions really do speak louder than words.
Instead of simply using the official blog for the Six Figure Challenge to document each of their progress in the coming year (which they intend to do), the writers will be offering various free tips and resources to other freelance writers, including daily writers’ market listings (which are already being posted as a lead-up to the Challenge) as well as other free resources and tips for writers, like a newsletter, freelance writing job listings, free online writing courses, and more. The daily market posts can be found in three locations, including the official blog, the Challenge’s Myspace profile (www.myspace.com/sixfigurewriters), and a new freelance writing forum at AllFreelancing.com (markets posted to the forum are only visible to registered members).
The forum at AllFreelancing.com provides a discussion area for the Six Figure Challenge, to help create a community and networking atmosphere for all writers interested in following along, sharing their own tips, or even joining in with the Challenge by charting their own progress in a special forum area. But most importantly, the forum exists to provide a supportive environment for professional writers from all niches, and new and underpaid writers looking for advice and encouragement.

About the Six Figure Challenge
The Six Figure Challenge for freelance writers was a concept launched in the Fall of 2006. Five professional freelance writers from different backgrounds will work together to each strive for a goal of earning a six figure income from their writing, or writing-related work, over the course of 2007. They will document their progress on an official blog at SixFigureWriters.com, a Myspace profile at Myspace.com/sixfigurewriters, and a new freelance writing forum at AllFreelancing.com, in an effort to put their own careers on display in the hopes of helping new and underpaid freelance writers learn how to earn more from their writing. The writers will also be publishing a variety of free resources to help other writers, including daily writers’ markets, freelance writing job listings, and more from late 2006 through the end of the Challenge.
