3rd Annual Reggae for Climate Protection Festival Announced
Reggae for Climate Protection will celebrate its 3rd Annual Green Festival August 13th-15th this year. A music concert at the Paper Mill Island Amphitheater - Sunday, August 15th, Lock 24, Oswego Street, Baldwinsville, NY, commemorates a 40/40; the 40-year anniversary of both Earth day and world renowned band “The Original Wailers,” formerly of Bob Marley and the Wailers. Also performing are John Brown’s Body, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, and Rubblebucket Orchestra.
Mohawk, NY, June 03, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The 3rd Annual Green Festival, featuring, Reggae, the Green music genre, will run from Friday, August 13 through Sunday, August 15, 2010. Friday and Saturday, festivities take place at the historic Gelston Castle Estate, located at 980 Robinson Road, Mohawk, New York.
Roots will Rock to Reggae beginning Friday, August 13th at Gelston Castle Estate where Green Enthusiasts can enjoy a Jamaican Film Festival on the lawn of Chateau Safflyn starting at 5 pm. On Saturday, August 14th, beginning at noon, Gelston Castle will host competitions, including beach volleyball, 20/20 cricket, soccer tournament, dominoes, Ska Dance, and a Jerk-Seasoning Cook-off. There will also be outdoor areas showcasing Solar Powered Tanning, Green technology demonstrations, craft & food vendors and presenters who will engage the community in climate talks affecting us locally, regionally & globally.
The worldwide resonance of Reggae music has changed our social climate from forty years ago. This year, with the Original Wailers, they invite you to take part in a movement that brings Green into our hearts through the movement of music.
