Assassination City Roller Derby Home Season Opener: Puttin' on the Blitz

Dallas, TX, June 04, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Assassination City Roller Derby presents its home team season opener on June 19th. The league’s four home teams will go toestop to toestop in a race to the championship. The double-header, dubbed Puttin’ on the Blitz, will feature the Deadly Kennedys against the 2009 champions, the Lone Star Assassins, and the Bombshell Brigade against the newly resurrected La Revolucion. BYOB (no glass), bring your camp chairs and be prepared to take cover when this blitz hits.

The halftime show will feature live music by Rhymin’ N Stealin’ – Dallas’ first Beastie Boys tribute band, and DJ Sista Whitenoise will be spinning tunes throughout the bouts. And don’t forget the world-famous Assassination City Roller Derby after party immediately following the bout, only at Lee Harvey’s (1807 Gould Street, Dallas, 75215).

Tickets to the bout (and season passes) can be purchased in advance for $12 at Pluckers on Greenville and Lovers, HD Tavern in Lewisville, Dad’s Broadway Skateland, or at www.acderby.com, or you can get your tickets at the door for $15.
