Another First for the Action Party of Morton Grove
Morton Grove, IL, June 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Action Party of Morton Grove showed it can get strikes, gutters, spares, splits and even turkeys while having fun at its first annual Bowling Fund- Raiser. Nearly sixty Action Party supporters gathered at Classic Bowl on Saturday May 22, 2010, to enjoy pizza and sweets while having a great time bowling.
The highlight of the evening was a “Split-the-Pot” Raffle. Seven hundred fifty dollars was won by participants: Bill Wegner from Super Cup (one of the event's lane sponsors) won $50; Bob Weinberg won $100; Mrs. Jeanne Fougerousse (mother of Jeff Fougerousse, former Executive Director of the Morton Grove Park District) won $200, and the “grand” prize of $400 went to Lee and Joe Moll (former Village Trustee).
Mayor Dan Staackmann and Trustees Shel Marcus and Dan DiMaria were present to cheer on the bowlers, who included Trustee Larry Gomberg and his family, as well as former Mayor Dan Scanlon, and Action Party officers Mark Matz, Terri Cousar, and Lori Gattorna. A number of Action Party Board Members also lent their support to this event.
Lane sponsors included Super Cup, Mayor Dan Staackmann, Trustee Maria Toth, Clerk Tony Kalogerakos, Keith White, and John Slater.
Everyone had a great time at this event and plans are already being made to do it again.
