This event held in March was officially sanctioned by kiteboarding's new competition governing body the IKA, and Thailand was one of 5 stops for the kitesurfing tour of Asia.
Action Sport Asia has teamed up with a number of kitesurfing companies in Thailand including Cuttlebone, whom consist of a number of kitesurfing enthusiasts who discovered kiteboarding in 1999. These days Cuttlebone are a well established school offering kiteboarding in Koh Pha Ngan and Chumphon – both destinations are reknowned for their great kitesurfing conditions.
Action Sport Asia continues to look for kiteboarding partners to promote this up and coming sport.
