North Georgia Mountain Cabin Receives New Name
Rainbow Cabins’ largest mountain rental cabin known simply as “The Lodge” receives formal name following informal contest announced in early February.
Blue Ridge, GA, June 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Christening a new building, ship or landmark is a seminal event for small businesses and large organizations alike. Mountain rental cabins are no different so in the process of renovating one of its largest properties, north Georgia rental cabin firm Rainbow Cabins (http://www.rainbowcabins.com/) gave “The Lodge” its new formal name, the “Laughing Bear Lodge.” Over the last few months, Rainbow Cabins has been renovating the “Laughing Bear Lodge” and expects completion to occur by November of this year.
This 10,000 square-foot facility sitting on 14-acres with 1,000 feet of waterfront along Fightingtown Creek will now proudly carry this name coined by Dave Canter of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Inspiration for the name came from the famed Uncle Remus tales by Georgia native Joel Chandler Harris and this quick video from Disney (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=170fIOfmoeA&feature=player_embedded). The Laughing Bear Lodge will now serve as the “laughing place” and host to weddings, reunions, retreats and large family vacations.
“We bought this large home 5 years ago with dreams of renovating it into a place where families could make memories that fill their hearts with laughter for years to come and offer an atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of city life,” comments Wes Reuning, president of Rainbow Cabins, LLC. “Laughing Bear Lodge embodies the spirit of those timeless tales that remind us of a more innocent time. After thinking about it, the Laughing Bear name just stuck with us.”
In exchange for creating the winning name, Mr. Canter will receive 50 percent off a four-night stay at the new Laughing Bear Lodge. He will have the opportunity to enjoy the indoor racquetball court, work out center, recreation room, backyard trout fishing, river tubing, kayaking and other recreational opportunities the cabin offers with his family and friends.
“Laughing Bear’s amenities are unique among rental cabins in the north Georgia mountains,” says Reuning. “In the future, we hope this and all of our cabins will be families’ “laughing place” of choice.”
A minimum three night stay is required at the mountain rental cabin along with a $200 security deposit.
