Taboo Themed Feature Film Trap is Set for Worldwide Release
Fresh from his success of the cult horror hit “Edges of Darkness,” Director Jason Horton has teamed with Producer Robert Bravo to release the feature drama “Trap.”
Hollywood, CA, June 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Set for distribution worldwide via the internet is Jason Horton’s “Trap,” an edgy drama which follows a brutal abduction that gets even worse when a middle-aged kidnapper falls for his 15-year-old victim. Writer/ Director Horton adds, “It’s a story of isolation, loneliness, loyalty and violence, and reveals the darker side of human nature.” Trap stars Alan Perada, Alonzo Jones (Edges Of Darkness), Annemarie Pazmino (web hit Sorority Forever, Edges Of Darkness) and introduces Ashton Blanchard as the teen kidnap victim, Tennessee.
The story follows Walter (Alan Perada), a middle aged ex-con fresh out of jail, who has been consumed by guilt over leaving his family behind when he went to prison. Out now, he tries to re-establish a relationship with his only living relative, his crystal-meth addicted daughter, Tori (Annemarie Pazmino). Wanting nothing to do with her father, Tori sets him up with a volatile psychopath, Franklin (Alonzo Jones) who masterminds a kidnapping scheme for money. Franklin and Walter take delivery of the kidnap victim, 15 year old Tennessee (Ashton Blanchard) and hold her in a remote hillside home until the ransom is paid. Their plan falls apart when Walter falls in love with Tennessee, much to the chagrin of Franklin. Does she return Walter’s amorous desire, or will she use him to gain her freedom?
A micro-budget production, Trap’s success lies in its strong story, direction and performances, and according to Producer Bravo, “With contemporary Hollywood having fewer and fewer taboos to reveal cinematically, Jason has definitely touched a nerve with this movie.”
Zapruter Productions in Association with Al Gomez Productions have set worldwide distribution to begin June, 2010 on CreateSpace.com and Amazon.com
