This excitement is not limited to the Christian community. Already, Jacques Noisette, founder of NewChristCity.com, is getting support from both churches and business leaders. “I am doing something for us,” he said recently at a luncheon, “the Christian young people of NYC deserve this.” His goal is to unite the Christians from all backgrounds and really let them experience the support and the strength of having a whole community at your side.
“We tell Christians they should make good choices and live certain ways, but without a bigger support in their lives, sometimes they are left with only the choices in front of them,” explained Deborah Larson, a member of the NCC team. She is particularly thrilled with the launching of the NCC online dating. “This to me is so exciting! I have heard so much said about there not being any “good guys” in the urban areas. I know that this is simply not the case. But sometimes it is hard or intimidating to find each other in big churches or at big events. So here is a great local solution.”
And for Jacques Noisette, this is just the beginning. He plans on taking it in steps and really taking NCC to greater heights. As for now, the excitement is building. People are telling friends, family, and relatives, and that is a good thing for NCC!
