Royal Sausage Selects DEACOM for ERP Lot Tracking, Catch Weight Management
Deacom, Inc. announces that Royal Sausage Company, Inc. has licensed the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System to streamline its business processes in order to more rapidly respond to the needs of its regional and national grocery customers.

(www.deacom.net) announces that Royal Sausage Company, Inc., a mid-sized processor, distributor, and broker of smoked meats and food preparations, has licensed the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System to streamline its business processes in order to more rapidly respond to the needs of its regional and national grocery customers.
Pell City, AL-based Royal Sausage Company had previously used Quickbooks, a separate EDI system, and manual processes, such as spreadsheets and handwritten documentation, to manage all its business processes. The company, however, sought the ability to electronically track its materials from receipt to shipment in one, easy-to-use system to better meet the auditing requirements of its customers.
"It's very important to us, as well as our customers, that we have a system in place to track our products as quickly as possible," stated Royal Foods president Sam Capps.
In addition, Royal Sausage Company also required a system that could innately handle catch weight management. As a food inventory software system designed specifically for food processors, DEACOM simply manages all areas of a business, including recipe management, accounting and financials, purchasing, lot and inventory control, sales order entry, quality control, and production, in one system. This allows processors to easily adjust weights when finishing production to indicate the actual weight of a container.
Royal Sausage Company will complete implementation of the DEACOM System in October of 2010.
