Lakeside Pottery, Ceramic Art Studio and Gallery and Juan L. Andreu, Artist & Sculptor

Stamford, CT, June 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lakeside Pottery Studio and Gallery is pleased to announce it’s affiliation with Juan L. Andreu. Juan will be displaying his work at Lakeside Pottery’s Gallery. Juan will be using Lakeside Pottery’s studio for his clay sculpting work and will conduct classes and workshops.

Juan Andreu is known for his large-scale public works of art, which are placed in churches, public displays and private collections. Juan has shown his work extensively since 1974 in Spain and the USA receiving numerous awards. His works range in size from small tabletop pieces to large bronze and wood sculptures. Juan is specialized in classic sculpture in ceramic, wood, bronze and stone mediums. He also paints both small and large scale works in oil, watercolor and pastel.

Juan Andreu holds a Ph. D. in Fine Arts from the University of Valencia, School of Fine Arts, in Spain. He has also studied architectural design, painting and restoration. Juan is a Professor of Art at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut and at the Talcott Mountain Science Center in Avon, Connecticut. He has also taught art at Silvermine Guild Art Center and the Farmington Valley Arts Center.

Founded in 2002, Lakeside Pottery is a ceramic art and craft educational resource for the community focusing on clay art. We seek to inspire creativity, foster self-discovery, and nurture an appreciation to learn about art through our pottery programs, special events and access to our studio, clay center and gallery
