Girma Dali, Birth of a Football God
John Gorman, author of last year's Breakthrough Novel "Shades of Luz" has just released his first installment of his serialized "Girma Dali" in time for the World Cup.
New York, NY, June 13, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The idea to bring to life a football hero, in light of the World Cup, struck Gorman as perfect. Since "Shades of Luz" hit Amazon Best Seller status last year John Gorman has gone onto to publish short works of fiction, but he's been itching to go back to longer works where he feels his true passion lies.
"I've been toiling over a few projects, some of which I wasn't making the headway I wanted," Gorman said. "This Girma Dali was like getting struck by a bolt of lightning. I know its raw, but that's the fun of it."
Girma Dali is being written day by day, a new section will be released during the entire World Cup. Gorman is asking football fans, enthusiasts, and readers all over to engage him. He has even asked them to offer chapter suggestions. He wants to veer off with this novel, take it in new directions. In short, he wants to expand the view of novel.
"For me, this is a bit like a collective project," Gorman said. "Anybody who wants to participate is more than welcome to do so."
He jokes that he'll blame those who have made suggestions to him. All kidding aside, this is an exciting new work for the gifted author. He has wanted to write a serialized piece for quite some time.
He warns those big-time footballers that this is not intended to be a historical work. It is in now way an offshoot of Nick Hornby's "Fever Pitch." "Girma Dali" has its own unique flavor.
What's most exciting about this novel is that is available on the web and freely accessible from Wordpress.
