Choice Logistics to Provide Mission-Critical Service Parts Logistics for Hitachi Data Systems EMEA
Long-standing relationship in North America expands abroad.
NEW YORK, NY, June 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Choice Logistics, the global specialist in customized third-party mission-critical service parts logistics, has been selected by Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) EMEA, a provider of storage infrastructure solutions, for mission-critical service parts logistics management. Choice will also facilitate import and export compliance on behalf of the company. Choice has served as the service parts logistics partner for Hitachi Data Systems in North America and other regions of the world since 2001.

While Choice has worked with Hitachi Data Systems North America for nearly a decade, the company replaced a major international logistics provider to secure the entire EMEA account. The implementation process was initiated during the busy holiday season in late 2009, culminating in early 2010. Despite this timing challenge, Choice transitioned inventory and integrated HDS EMEA into its distribution network over the course of just 10 weeks. This included several markets that were added after the initial launch. To ensure a seamless conversion, Choice also managed the transfer of complex import and export documentation from the previous provider, and assumed responsibility for service parts customs compliance.
