Atrion Networking Corporation Recognized as a 2010 Best Place to Work in R.I.
Atrion placed number four among medium-sized companies; winning rating based on employee feedback.
Warwick, RI, June 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Atrion Networking Corporation, a leading provider of Information Technology and Managed Services, today announces it has been recognized as a 2010 Best Place to Work in Rhode Island. The annual Best Places to Work in Rhode Island program “distinguishes companies who demonstrate and are superior in workplace excellence,” and is a partnership between Providence Business News and Best Companies Group.
Best Companies Group, an independent research organization, facilitates the competition’s survey process for each entrant, and then analyzes the data to determine winners. Data is based off a Company management report as well as an employee survey. The 2010 Best Places to Work program recognized 35 companies. Eleven of them fell under the Medium-sized companies, of which Atrion ranked number four.
“At its heart, Atrion is a people company,” said Steve Malloy, people services director for Atrion. “Over the past few years we have increased our People Services and Talent Development investments, which have directly translated into the success and satisfaction of our team. Being honored as a 2010 Best Place to Work in Rhode Island is a testament to that passion, and is an honor truly standing above the rest because it has been earned and awarded by our employees. They are the ones that make Atrion a best place to work.”
Mark Murphy, editor for PBN, wrote of the program: “Whether through innovative benefit programs, flexible work arrangements, or consistent opportunities for advancement and personal development, the best companies in Rhode Island reap the rewards of an engaged workforce, one that retains existing customers and finds new ones, drives profit growth even in difficult times, and keeps turnover low and innovative behavior high… to make it to this list, each of (the 2010 Best Places to Work honorees) is doing so many things right.”
Atrion’s recent People Services/Talent Development investments have been made possible through increased training budgets and have focused attentions to providing all employees with the resources and tools to advance their career experience. Investments include: enhancing the Company’s recruiting, orientation and new hire training process; increasing and developing its internship program; and continuing to offer leadership, time-management, customer service, Lean efficiency, social styles and several other training opportunities.
An awards dinner was held to recognize the 2010 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island winners on June 10th at the Crowne Plaza hotel. To learn more and view full list of awardees, visit www.pbn.com.
