Maumelle, AR, June 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- BackwoodsInventions.com has formed a strategic partnership with Connie Slaughterback, owner of the Alluring Lures & Tackle store in Cordell, Oklahoma, to market and sell Lead Babies Slabs.

Presently, each Lead Babies Slab is painted in the back of the store, but these lures have an interesting history. Dale Montgomery spent much of the ’90’s doing field research (fishing) in Western Oklahoma to determine the best shapes, sizes, weights and colors of slabs to catch a wide variety of fish. It was Montgomery who created each Lead Babies Slab design (except for the jigs) and perfected the hand-painting process. Before succumbing to cancer, he sold his business to Slaughterback. Today, the legacy of this fishing legend lives on through his slabs. The Rattlin Mary even bears the name of Montgomery’s wife, who enjoys telling a good story. Slaughterback believes the Rattlin Mary is the only slab lure on the market with a built-in, exposed rattle for maximum sound and vibration.

Slaughterback also asserts that the paint adheres to her Lead Babies Slabs better than any other slab on the market based on lots of feedback from her many customers, who include professionals, guides and regular fishermen. She attributes this to her secret, 7-step process, which involves hand-painting and dipping.
