University Christian Church Celebrates 100th Anniversary
Los Angeles, CA, June 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Recognized as one of the oldest churches in Los Angeles, University Christian Church celebrates 100 years with a weekend anniversary party. The weekend party is on Saturday, June 26, 2010 and Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 5831 West Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90045.
“Our mission... 'Connecting the unconnected to Christ and growing in full devotion to Him" is our driving force behind everything we do.'” said Scott Julian, Sr. Pastor of University Christian Church.
“The Church started in 1910 and we are now celebrating our 100th anniversary with the largest weekly average attendance (now about 450) in the church's 100 year history,” says Julian.
UCC's 100th anniversary will span 2 days. On Saturday, June 26th there will be an anniversary celebration bringing together the current members, past ministers, past members, and missionaries. This party will have food, music and cake to celebrate the millennial milestone.
The festivities continue Sunday, June 27th with the 9:30 am and 11:15 am services. The traditional 9:30 am service and the contemporary 11:15 am service will both feature great music, and the current and 3 immediate past church pastors.
Past members, friends or others may attend both events free. The Saturday, June 26th event requires an RSVP to attend. Everyone is free to come and celebrate on Sunday June 27th.
