Dallas, TX, June 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- SKYFIBER™ (http://www.skyfiber.com), global leader in Optical Wireless Broadband technology, has announced the promotion of executive David Achim to President and CEO, who brings over twenty-five years of proven sales, marketing, and operational expertise to the company. This exciting move allows founder, chairman and CTO Mark Doucet to move forward with his innovative technology solutions.
“SKYFIBER’s superior technology and patent rich portfolio significantly differentiates its products and services from all other competitors in the market, making our corporation unique in the industry. I am honored by the promotion, and look forward to leading the company’s increasing growth,” says David Achim (http://www.skyfiber.com/2.0/aboutskyfiber_leadership_david.php).
Achim brings with him a string of previous successes in leading and building up innovative young companies. Before joining SKYFIBER in October of 2008, Achim served as President and Chief Executive Officer for ROME Corporation, a Houston-based company providing Enterprise Credit Risk Management software to the Energy and Financial Services business sectors. During his tenure, Achim and his team doubled company revenues every year from 2005 to 2007, resulting in ROME’s recognition in 2007 by Inc. magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing companies in North America.
Founder and CTO Mark Doucet says, “I am thrilled that David has accepted the positions of President and CEO. He is highly qualified for the position, and his posting allows me to devote more of my time and attention to developing further technology solutions.”
SKYFIBER offers Optical Wireless Broadband via an industry-first On-Demand licensing model, enabling a lower cost of entry and faster time to market than currently available with traditional solutions such as fiber or microwave. With the On-Demand model, a monthly subscription fee provides bandwidth to meet the customer’s current capacity needs, eliminates on-going equipment maintenance costs, and enables the customer to maintain total flexibility to increase capacity and take advantage of technological advances.
SKYFIBER (http://www.skyfiber.com), an Optical Wireless Broadband company, was founded in 1996. It is a privately held corporation of 60 plus employees, headquartered in Bryan, Texas, with additional offices in Dallas, TX, Philadelphia, PA, San Jose, CA, and a partner network that spans the globe. SKYFIBER’s solutions can economically augment or replace traditional fiber optic and microwave technologies to meet customer needs for wireless backhaul, enterprise and campus area networks, last-mile extension, private data networks, emergency response networks, and a variety of revenue generating opportunities for municipalities. SKYFIBER markets their solutions in the Enterprise and Telecommunications global markets, and are expanding market penetration by developing strategic partnerships to identify referral opportunities and to provide implementation services.
