Miramar, FL, June 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- SIM2 USA recently demonstrated its home and professional cinema projectors at the Italian Expo, held May 21–23 at Hall A of the George R. Brown Convention Center, in Houston, Texas. This was the second year for the family-friendly Expo, a full-scale showcase highlighting the best of Italy in the areas of food, wine, tourism, design, fashion, art, and entertainment, with over 150 exhibitors from Italy and the U.S.
Expo visitors were treated to demonstrations of projectors from SIM2’s Home Cinema and Pro Cinema series: respectively, the Grand Cinema C3X LUMIS and the PROC4. Like the LUMIS, the Pro Cinema PROC4 is a compact, three-chip, full HD (1080p) DLP-based projector. It differs from its Home Cinema sibling in having been specifically designed to meet the rigorous requirements of emerging digital cinema and postproduction applications. The projectors were used in three different locations at the Expo:
1. The Design Area featured a C3X LUMIS in Racing Red with a six-foot screen showing promotional videos from nv4Design and SIM2. The living space was created using modern Italian furniture.
2. The Automotive Area featured a PROC4 with 10-foot screen showing promotional videos from Ducati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and SIM2.
3. The Main Piazza featured a PROC4 with a10-foot screen showing promotional videos from the Italian Tourist Board and SIM2.
On Saturday afternoon, show attendees were able to experience the Champion’s League Soccer final between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, with images courtesy of the PROC4 on the 10-foot screens located in the Main Piazza.
“We were very pleased to support this event. As an Italian company specializing in luxury home cinema, it was a natural fit for us to be alongside brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Ducati,” said Mark Franks, SIM2 USA’s Marketing Manager.
“We once again proved that SIM2’s products can be used in real-world situations, such as a brightly-lit exhibition hall, and produce excellent results,” Franks continued. “We believe it’s time for projectors to step out of the shadows and take their rightful place as the centerpiece for all home entertainment systems—regardless of ambient light levels. And SIM2 has a line-up of products that will help consumers achieve this.”
