Maple Leaf Farms Launches Video Duck Recipe Contest
“Strut Your Duck” Video Recipe Contest calls for creative recipes using Maple Leaf Farms duck products.
Milford, IN, June 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Get out your video camera. Maple Leaf Farms is calling for entries for the “Strut Your Duck” Video Recipe Contest starting July 1, 2010, through August 20, 2010. The contest challenges entrants to create an original recipe that features duck, plus videotape the recipe preparation as part of the entry.
Recipe entries may be submitted for any menu part -- appetizer, soup, salad or entrée -- and must include a Maple Leaf Farms duck product. Entrants may submit as many video recipes as they like up to 4 minutes in length each. The written recipe must also accompany the video submission. Contest submissions will be judged according to simplicity (easily sourced ingredients and ease of preparation), originality and creativity of the recipe, appeal of the recipe demonstration and the prepared dish, public vote (Round I judging) and overall taste (Round II judging).
Entrants have a chance to win one of three top prizes. The grand prize winning video recipe will be awarded $4,000 and free Maple Leaf Farms duck products for a year; first runner-up $2,500; and second runner-up $1,000.
Additionally, seven weekly prizes will be awarded for the video receiving the highest number of votes during a specific week of the video submission period. Weekly prizes are $50 packages of Maple Leaf Farms products.
The contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States or Washington, D.C. that are 18 years old or older.
Complete contest rules and entry details are available online at www.mapleleaffarms.com/duckrecipecontest/. Entries will be accepted July 1-August 20, 2010, at their contest host website at www.memelabs.com/mapleleaffarmsduck.
