J. K. Coltrain Receives Both The Entertainer of the Year and Country Album of The Year Award from The Texas Country Music Association
Colt Records label President, J. K. Coltrain received both The Entertainer of The Year and Country Album of The Year Award from The Texas Country Music Association.
Nashville, TN, September 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Colt Records, Nashville, Tennessee received news on June, 5, 2010 that Colt Records label President, J. K. Coltrain received both The Entertainer of The Year and Country Album of The Year Award from The Texas Country Music Association. The winners were announced by TCMA President Johnny Carter in at the annual convention in Caldwell, Texas.
J. K. Coltrain, a lifelong country music singer and songwriter said, "I am humbled and quite surprised and I wish to thank the TCMA for these outstanding awards". J. K. has been performing since age 14 and had a brief stay on top of the charts during the late 80s and early 90s. He then somewhat faded from the country music scene even though he continued to tour and maintained a solid fanbase throughout. Then in 2006 he resurfaced with his widely acclaimed album 'The Truck Stops Here' which resulted in two Top 40 country songs and the number 99 gospel song of 2006. He has since released two more albums, one of them being 'All That I Am' which garnered the Country Album of The Year by The Texas Country Music Association.
J. K.'s future plans are to continue helping new artists as the President of Colt Records Nashville, preserving true country music as Chairman of The Traditional Country Opry as well as continuing to write, sing and perform his own music.
