New Haven Pride Center Now Accepting Nominations for 2011 Dorothy Awards

New Haven, CT, June 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The New Haven Pride Center (NHPC) is opening up the nomination process for its prestigious Dorothy Awards to the local community. The 2011 Dorothy Awards will honor individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to local LGBT life.

Beginning today, nominations for the awards can be submitted to the NHPC via this website: http://tinyurl.com/Dorothy2011. The nomination form asks users to describe the impact their nominee has had on the local LGBT community. Users are also welcome to submit multiple nominations if they choose. The public nomination process will close on Saturday, July 31st at midnight. The board of the NHPC will review all submissions, and will ultimately decide the list of Dorothy honorees. The 2011 Dorothy Awards are scheduled for Saturday, March 5th, 2011.
