Zevalking comes to Collins Einhorn after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael F. Cavanaugh of the Michigan Supreme Court. In this position, he reviewed applications for leave to appeal, conducted legal research and recommended action, wrote bench memoranda, and discussed issues with Justice Cavanaugh in preparation for oral arguments.
Since 2008, Zevalking has served as an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich. and Auburn Hills, Mich., teaching Advanced Legal Writing and Moot Court.
The Grand Rapids native earned his juris doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, graduating Summa Cum Laude and first in his class. He also was honored for three National and Intra-School Moot Court accomplishments, including Best Oralist at the 2006 Pace University Environmental Law National Moot Competition. Additionally, he attained 14 Certificates of Merit.
