Jason E. Havens Certified as Estate Planning Law Specialist
Cleveland, OH, June 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jason E. Havens is newly certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist by the Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an organization accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. Pursuant to the rules of the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, an agency of the Supreme Court of Tennessee, this certification also qualifies Mr. Havens to apply to become a Tennessee board-certified specialist in Estate Planning.
Mr. Havens is the managing attorney/member of Havens & Miller, P.L.L.C., with law offices in Destin, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; and New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also board certified in Wills, Trusts, and Estates Law by The Florida Bar and AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
To become board-certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist, an attorney must have devoted at least one-third of his or her practice to estate planning for a minimum of five years. In addition to passing a comprehensive examination in estate planning law, the attorney must also receive recommendations from five colleagues and must establish that he or she has at least thirty-six continuing legal education credits within the last three years.
The Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an attorney-run affiliate of the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils in Cleveland, Ohio, is the only ABA-accredited program for certification of an attorney as an Estate Planning Law Specialist.
