The event, titled “Winds of Change: Creative Concepts for Increasing Data Center Efficiency,” is to be held in Santa Clara, CA on July 27, 2010
Linden, NJ, June 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Data Center Alliance (DCA) today announced the launch of its first event in Silicon Valley to introduce new developments and best practices for data center efficiency. The event, titled “Winds of Change: Creative Concepts for Increasing Data Center Efficiency,” will be held on July 27th at the Biltmore hotel, 2151 Laurelwood Road, Santa Clara, California, from 8:00am to 12:15 pm. This event will provide insights into data center energy management challenges to an audience of CIOs, facilities managers, data center managers, IT managers and system administrators.
The Data Center Alliance event is sponsored by Digi International, Elliptical Mobile Solutions, Minicom, PDI, and Wright Line. Together with other alliance partners, these companies have joined forces to leverage the core strengths of each organization, and to fill the information gap in the marketplace by providing a centralized, comprehensive source for building successful IT infrastructures.
The DCA event will feature a keynote speaker from PG&E and a panel of data center professionals. The topics to be discussed include scalable designs for rack enclosures, data center mobility, lowering cooling costs, power management, facility design, and remote access management, among others.
“We are excited about the first DCA event, where industry experts will weigh in on the data center topics that matter today. With a focus on lowering energy expenditure for all different aspects of the data center, anyone in the data center world will benefit from joining us,” said David Zucker, Executive Director of the DCA.
