Emulsions Control, Inc. (ECI) Joins Effort to Clean Up the Gulf Coast with Revolutionary Chemicals
Revolutionary new technology is being used to clean up the Gulf Coast. Dispersants are harmful, and Emulsions Control Incorporated has developed a better solution that is now being used to replace dispersants.
Chula Vista, CA, June 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- California Chemical Company to Help in Oil Recovery from BP Spill Chula Vista, California.
Emulsions Control, Inc. (ECI), a specialty chemical company with 30 years experience in oil recovery, is shipping the first order of chemical additives to a Reclamation company in Texas, who is receiving the first shipment of 20,000 barrels (840,000 gallons) of skimmed crude oil from Louisiana.
“All that is needed is to minimize the spread of the oil to shorelines is to skim it close to the spill site, then barge it to onshore tanks,” said Dr. Sam Delchad, vice president of technology for ECI. “Once heat and ECI’s proprietary chemical technology are applied, the salt water and other contaminants settle out from clean, dry oil, suitable as refinery feed.”
This technology, unlike the use of dispersants and incineration, has the advantage of making possible the recovery of the huge volumes of oil, which are still gushing out from the ruptured pipe 5000 feet below sea level.
ECI is an international chemical company with headquarters in Eastlake and a manufacturing plant in National City.
