IT Training Company Opens Cedar Rapids, Iowa Facility

Cedar Rapids, IA, June 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ONLC Training Centers has opened an IT classroom training facility in Cedar Rapids, its third Iowa location. The company’s other Iowa locations include sites in the capital city of Des Moines as well as a facility in Bettendorf/Quard Cities.

“With the addition of our Cedar Rapids classroom we can better provide instructor-led training to students by giving them more options,” said ONLC Training Centers’ CEO, Andy Williamson. “Our facility in Cedar Rapids along with our two other locations in the state of Iowa make us the largest authorized training company in the region,” he continued.

ONLC’s Iowa locations offer live, instructor-led classroom training. Through Remote Classroom Instruction (RCI) the company is also able to connect students from multiple training facilities into a single class. “With RCI we have the lowest class cancellation rate in the industry. If someone registers for one of our classes, there is over a 90% chance that that class will run. We are now bringing that level of certainty to individuals registering for our classes in the Cedar Rapids market,” continued Williamson.

ONLC reports that its most popular technical classes are related to Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 7, SQL Server, SharePoint, and Exchange as well as security training (Security +). From and end-user perspective, in addition to the obvious Microsoft Office classes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) the company is also seeing strong demand for the Adobe CS4 Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, In-Design, Flash and Fireworks.)

“We are preparing for a huge wave of training related to the new releases of Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2010, and Office 2010. Also, the request for Windows 7 are very strong in our area and we expect that to continue into next year as companies in the region upgrade their desktop operating systems,” stated Williamson.
