Giddy Goose, a local business set up last year by two mums in Sevenoaks, Kent offers custom made hand-sewn, home accessories such as aprons, oven gloves, bags, cushions, soft storage boxes and gifts. Buoyed by their local success, the founders of Giddy Goose, Angela Wildgoose and Anne Barton, are have just launched an online shop at www.giddygoose.co.uk.

Giddy Goose is the inspiration of Angela Wildgoose and Anne Barton, two mumpreneurs in Sevenoaks who have a passion for both sewing and design. The economic recession, coupled with the swell of interest in the quality of products and their green credentials, have lead to a revival of interest in home skills such as home baking and needlecraft. The kitchen has regained its rightful place as the heart of the home and Angela and Anne at Giddy Goose have designed the perfect home accessories to complement these trends, harking back to a gentler era epitomised by afternoon tea in the garden, but with a modern practical twist.
One of the biggest selling Giddy Goose products to date has been the Handy Towel. Ideal for the kitchen, bathroom or ensuite, it is available in either beige or cream towelling with a choice of trim to co-ordinate with other Giddy Goose accessories, and a choice of tie or button fastening. It lives up to its “Handy” name wherever it’s used and can be hung on an Aga or stove rail.
Another favourite is the Giddy Goose Apron which is available in 3 sizes, from children through to adult, and is made to order allowing customers to choose from a range of 14 lovely fabrics (all 100% cotton), 7 strap designs as well as a choice of 4 motifs. The Aprons are also available as a gift set complete with wooden spoon and laminated fairy cake recipe card.
