Tom Thunstrom, Operation Hope Philadelphia Area Program Manager, will be among the presenters with Beyond Expectations (BE) at the YAC Science Fair and Educational Forum this Saturday, December 9. Tom will present information about their national Banking on Our Future program.

Willingboro, NJ, December 08, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Beyond Expectations (BE) has announced that Tom Thunstrom will be among the presenters at the Youth Achievers Committee 15th annual Science Fair and Educational Forum this Saturday, December 9. Tom will present information about their national Banking on Our Future (BOOF) program.

"Operation HOPE (OHI) believes that by working with organizations who are reaching out to the community to educate youth, such as Beyond Expectations, and partnering with them to showcase the programs we provide, we can create an even greater impact on our communities," said Tom Thunstrom, Philadelphia Area Program Manager.

OHI is America’s leading provider of economic tools and services. The mission of BOOF is to execute a nationwide delivery system for financial literacy education for youth ages 9-18 at no cost to school districts, with a focus on urban, under-served communities.

"We are extremely excited that a national organization such as Operation Hope would see the value in the work we do at the community level," said Leontyne Anglin, president and founder, Beyond Expectations. "This type of collaboration can only broaden the crucial message that our families have to find ways to talk to their children about money."

BOOF consists of four modules: i) Basics of Banking ii) Checking & Savings Accounts iii) The Power of Credit iv) Basic Investments, taught by volunteer HOPE Corp members who are trained to break down their knowledge of banking and credit into terms that youth can understand and utilize immediately.

"I believe that educating our children around the basics of banking and how to save will lay the foundation for a future of savers in our nation," said Tom Thunstrom.

The YAC Science Fair and Educational Forum will be held at the Burlington County Institute of Technology in Westampton, NJ from 9 - 1 pm. More than 100 students from across the county in grades K-12 are slated to participate.
