Panasonic Extends Entry Level LB Projector Range
New smaller plug and play models aimed at broad range of corporate and education users
Wiesbaden, Germany, June 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Panasonic Audio Visual Systems Europe (AVSE) today announced it is adding two new short throw projectors, the PT-LB1 and PT-LB2 models, to its versatile LB range. Offering plug and play, auto signal and format search, simple operation and at a weight of around 2.3 kg these entry level projectors are designed with portability in mind. They are also suitable for fixed room applications in corporate and meeting room contexts and also for education users thanks to their network functionality.
The cost effective PT-LB1 and LB2 projectors have been designed to offer professional performance at a competitive price. The new LB1 and LB2 models offer a lamp life of 5000 hours in low mode operation and 3000 hours at normal operation, in low mode providing the longest lamp lifespan for any projector in the models’ class.
Both projectors feature a broad range of inputs, XGA (1024x768) resolution, a contrast ratio of 500:1, the LB1 has a brightness of 2,200 lm and the LB2 offers 2,600lm. In addition both models incorporate daylight view technology, an ambient light sensor that detects the amount of ambient light in a room and auto adjusts the brightness to suit.

The new models offer a range of innovations designed to make the projectors well suited to end users that require convenience and ease of use. The plug and play functionality extends to integration, both projectors offer RS232C protocol emulation which ensures that no reprogramming is required when replacing older Panasonic units or 400 popular models from other manufacturers. Network compatibility is managed through a standard wired PJLink to enable web browser control.
