“There and Back Again”- Torklift’s Trek to the Top
You don't have to be a world class mountain climber to achieve great things- but it certainly helps to have one on your team. Torklift International Sponsee Greg Vernovage completes a successful summit of Mount Everest at the same time that Torklift International is forging thru a second year of unprecedented growth in the struggling automotive/RV industry.
Kent, WA, June 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Sometimes, a small bump in the road can seem like a mountain. Torklift International seeks out people who have a habit of making mountains seem like a small bump in the road to sponsor. Even a Mount Everest summit like Greg Vernovage just finished. Greg took the Torklift International banner all the way to the top . . . and back down. In fact, shared success on Everest has made other challenges seem a bit easier at Torklift headquarters- things like maintaining a 25% growth rate despite the struggling economy.
Greg Vernovage, also known for coaching the United States Mens beach volleyball team to Olympic gold in 2000, has made a living climbing the world’s most challenging mountains for the last few years. February saw him summit Mount Aconcogua, the highest peak in South America, as well as Mount Rainier in Washington State in preparation for his Everest bid. Mr. Vernovage is also unique in that he is a full time RV’r- when he isn’t sleeping on a mountain side, he calls a truck camper on the back of his newer blue dodge dually truck home. This made him a natural partner for Torklift International. “I use the best gear when I climb the biggest mountains in the world. I am going to use the best tie-down system out there to protect me when I’m off the mountain.” Greg said when asked why he chose to partner with Torklift.
None the worse for the wear, the Torklift banner will accompany Greg up Mount Denali and Mount McKinley in the next couple months as well before being retired to a framed piece of wall in Torklift International’s corporate headquarters in Kent, WA.
Although that banner may be retiring, Greg and Torklift are far from finished. In fact as Greg continues his quest to summit all 7 peaks on all 7 continents, he will not only have a new Torklift banner to take, he will be traveling safe all the way there and back again.
