Hattons Raceday Fundraising for the Steve Prescott Foundation
Haydock Racecourse is hosting a fabulous Race Day this summer on Saturday 17th July, and Hattons Solicitors are delighted to be sponsoring the whole event, during which they will be fundraising for the Steve Prescott Foundation.
Merseyside, United Kingdom, July 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Haydock Racecourse is hosting a fabulous Race Day this summer on Saturday 17th July, and Hattons Solicitors are delighted to be sponsoring the whole event.
Not only does this evening include six top class races, but the racing will also followed by a concert by none other than the legendary Simply Red, who recently announced their farewell tour.
The race day looks set to be a busy and vibrant evening of entertainment, and with that Hattons have chosen to support the worthwhile charity organisation the Steve Prescott Foundation, supporting Christies Hospital and the Try Assist Fund.
Hattons have supported the Steve Prescott Foundation from the beginning by sponsoring and getting involved in the tireless fundraising it continues to do. Headed by Steve Prescott himself, the Foundation was initiated when Steve, an ex-Rugby League Star for St Helens, Hull, Wakefield, Ireland and was a GB Lions Tourist, was unfortunately diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer. In 2007, after undergoing surgery and treatment, Steve started by organising a charity rugby league match of Wigan vs. St Helens.
Since then the Foundation formed and has held several major events in the past three years, including two 200 Mile plus Walks from Hull to the Grand Final, the League At War Boxing Night plus the Carnegie Challenge.
Steve has recently been awarded with an MBE in the 2010 New Years Honours List for his services to Rugby League and Charity work.
Therefore Hattons have chosen to fundraise for the Steve Prescott Foundation at the summers Race Day, by doing a bucket collection, and charity auction, which they hope will make a significant contribution to a worthy cause.
Steve Prescott commented, "It is fair to say that without Hattons Solicitors support the Foundation would not have made a difference to so many lives, the help of the partners and staff from Hattons has been immense."
