GreatWay Roofing Engages Out-of-State Intern for Creative Support
Moorpark, CA, July 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- GreatWay Roofing, a leading commercial and residential roofing company serving Ventura County, the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys, announces a summer intern from Tennessee to focus on graphic design and public relations support for the company.
Kyle Lewis, going into his senior year at Zion Christian Academy in Columbia, Tenn., will apply his art and graphic design expertise and gather insight into the roofing contracting company’s business operations. His skills were discovered by the company’s owners, Rod and Michelle Menzel, during a roofing industry conference in Nashville last September.
“Kyle has such a creative mind, that we decided to fly him out and let him help us while learning at the same time,” Michelle Menzel said.
“I am really excited to be out here to help because I get to learn something new, and something different, and gaining knowledge on the whole business aspect is really interesting,” Lewis said. “It’s a good opportunity that not a lot of students get.”
Lewis will be particularly useful for marketing creative projects, and public relations, Menzel said. While in Southern California, the Menzels helped Lewis tour the California Institute of Arts in Santa Clarita.
Founded in 1999 in Ventura County, GreatWay Roofing was called Great American Roofing until an extensive re-branding process resulted in a new name and logo in 2008. The company’s commitment to customer service allowed it to grow to also serve the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. The company offers “green” and energy-saving materials such as “Cool Roof” technology for commercial buildings; a 12-point commercial roof maintenance program; and free no-obligation commercial roof inspections. GreatWay Roofing today employs 20 people, and is based in Moorpark. Information: (800) 473-2876 or http://www.greatwayroofing.com.
Contacts: Michelle Menzel, GreatWay Roofing, (800) 473-2876 or michelle@greatwayroofing.com; or Keith Jajko, (805) 404-4367 or kjajko@yahoo.com
