Wave Energy Drink Making Gains in NYC
New Energy Drink Beverage Helps Kick Off Overdue Summer Season
New York, NY, July 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Wave Energy Drink continues to make sales gains in NYC, following their January launch. Now that the summer season has arrived, Wave hopes to capitalize on newer and expanded markets throughout the city and Long Island. Currently, Wave is sold through accounts in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester and Staten Island.
Wave Energy Drink’s distribution partner in the city is Beyer Farms, out of Jamaica, NY. While carrying the Wave brand, Beyer Farms is best known for being the largest Tuscan Milk distributor in the Northeastern United States.
In new account news, Wave has recently signed a deal with Ketshegar Industries, which put the product line in their 30 service stations and convenience store outlets from Queens to the eastern tip of Long Island. Some of their well-known stores include Mobil On the Run locations and Shell-Marts. In order to secure the new account, Wave proposed and executed a round of event samplings and tastings for a two-week period, receiving a positive response from consumers trying the drink for the first time.
In the grocery category, Wave recently locked up an agreement with their first Independent Grocers Alliance (IGA) Store in Fort Salonga, NY. Wave is utilizing this store as a test-market in the hope of branching out to an additional 11 IGA locations later this summer.
All told, Wave is operating over 100 accounts in the city and over 400 total, while gaining further ground on a weekly basis. Led by locally owned distributor, Baldwin-Halpin, new business is the order of the day, according to President Stephen Halpin. “Wave is really starting to catch on with the public here in NY,” he stated. “There is no shortage of accounts to go after in the city and Beyer [Farms] has really helped to open some doors for us. However, we won’t be satisfied until we meet the goals we established when we started. It’s up to us to continue to get the word out about Wave Energy Drink and with summer being here, there’s no better time for that message,” he added.
