Wave of Columbia Ramps Up South Carolina Presence

New Energy Drink Beverage Helps Kick Off Overdue Summer Season

Columbia, SC, July 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Wave Energy Drink continues to market its presence in the Columbia, SC area with a slew of summer-related programs. The South Carolina-based franchise, Wave of Columbia, is owned and operated by University of South Carolina undergraduate student and business administration-major, Stephen Britt. Launched in February of this year, Britt has managed all of Wave Energy Drink’s efforts in the Palmetto State.

Following the lead of the North Carolina Wave sales effort, Britt’s operation is slated to officially move into Walgreens Drug Stores the week of June 21st, which includes a full onsite sampling program slated to debut at the stores just two days later. To further support existing sales, Wave is continuing its promotional programs throughout its existing accounts. Retailers have reported a strong response from new customers due to this type of outreach.

Britt’s Wave franchise is also the driving force behind three separate sponsorship opportunities, one of which includes charitable interests. Wave of Columbia will be participating in the 2010 Lexington (SC) High School fundraiser, “Cornhole for a Cause” on Saturday July 17th. The program, which is centered on the popular horseshoes-like game by the same name, will be held at the high school football field and all proceeds will go directly to support the Lexington High School Athletic Department. Wave will field a two-man team and distribute its product by providing product to attendees.

Wave of Columbia will soon begin discussions with the 2010 University of South Carolina Coquettes Dance Team for the upcoming college football season and will continue its established support of the Official University Competitive Fishing Team for the Fall 2010 semester and on into the 2011 tournament season.

“Wave Energy Drink is still relatively new to the South Carolina market, but it’s catching on with consumers,” says Britt. “I’ve found that when I can involve the company in several promotions, the brand awareness levels increase. And that leads to additional sales. I’m excited about the future and look forward to growing this franchise territory,” he added.
