Skull Coast Sails Into Charleston, SC

Fort Mill, SC, July 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Skull Coast Ale Company is pleased to announce that Henry J. Lee Distributing will be distributing its Maelstrom IPA in the seven counties surrounding Charleston, Hilton Head and Beaufort, South Carolina.

Skull Coast’s “Chief Drinking Officer,” David Fox, was delighted to have reached an agreement with Henry J. Lee, “Henry J. Lee was really the only distribution company we considered in the Charleston area. They have a fantastic reputation in the area, and have an impressive craft beer portfolio. We're extremely excited they selected us to penetrate our target market.”

Soon after Skull Coast signed the distribution agreement the Lee on-premise sales team secured a number of craft beer placements at Closed For Business, Charleston Beer Works, The Lodge in Hilton Head, Wine Awhile, Laura Alberts, and Growlers in Hilton Head.

When asked about the placements Lee Distributing was able to immediately secure, David Fox said, “We are thrilled with the rollout! It’s a veritable ‘who’s who’ of some of the finest craft beer accounts in the area. We have also received a number of requests from other accounts through our website, and have already made progress in expanding our capacity in order to meet Charleston demand.”
