Fun Primer on Virtues Empowers Kids: Journey to Virtue Planet: An Inter-Active Story, Published by Outskirts Press

Poughkeepsie, NY, July 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Veteran actress and author Nancy Nelson-Ewing aka Nan-Lynn Nelson, today announced the release of Journey to Virtue Planet: An Inter-Active Storybook, published by Outskirts Press.

Written for children ages five to eight, the full color book introduces children to each of twelve carefully selected virtues by matching it with a dynamic element of nature and prompting the young readers and listeners to participate in the story line using phrases corresponding to their selected virtue.

The tale follows a brother, Emerald, and his sister, Diamond, as they try to solve the riddle that will help them find their way to Virtue Planet. Along the way, “phrase cards” are used by the book’s young audience to help instill in them the concepts of Confidence, Courage, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Cooperation and six other well chosen virtues.

After a successful acting career that included Broadway, Law and Order, The Cosby Show and two critically acclaimed children’s television shows, Nancy spent almost ten years working as a Program Director/Developer of the arts in various school systems. She has seen first hand the negative effects that many of today’s tainted media influences have had on children.

Journey to Virtue Planet: An Inter-Active Story, is the humble offering by Ms. Nelson-Ewing to help empower children to use their natural ability to become seekers of wisdom, builders of wealth and abundance, and people who wish to serve humanity.

The book is also part of an integrated Do-It-Yourself program entitled, VIRTUE PLANET, with fun learning activities i.e. Singing, Hand Held instruments, Musical CD, Crafts and more for children, which parents and teachers can easily implement. For more information, visit: www.myvirtueplanet.com
