Daughter Loses Mother and Husband in Photographs and Memories, Published by Outskirts Press
Port Orange, FL, July 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Barbara Fifield today announced the release of her third book, a second novel entitled Photographs and Memories, published by Outskirts Press. The tragic story of a conscientious and caring daughter who has completely changed her life to take care of her aging parents speak to the millions of Americans now struggling with aging parents or uncooperative siblings.
New Yorkers Angela and Kevin Clint decide to give up their jobs, their home, their lives and move to Florida to take care of Angela’s aging parents. No longer young themselves, Angela and Kevin find themselves more and more on edge as they try to find new jobs, cater to Angela’s parents and contend with Angela’s alcoholic sister, Martha, who has been freeloading off Angela’s vulnerable parents for years.
Unexpectedly and tragically, Angela’s mother dies. Shortly after Angela loses her only stabilizing influence in life and when her husband also suddenly passes away.
Alone now, except for her troublesome sister, Angela must face the uncomfortable task of placing her failing, but unwilling father in a nursing home.
An accomplished author, Fifield uses the moving story of Photographs and Memories to convincingly portray the drama, the trials and the potential tragedies for children, now in middle age themselves, who must care for their own faltering parents and sometimes interfering family members.
