Colorado author walked on foot around the world… in support of women’s breast cancer.
Denver, CO, July 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Polly Letofsky headed west across four continents and over 14,000 miles—on foot—to become the first woman to walk around the world.
In a spirit of adventure, along with a passion of raising global awareness for breast cancer, strangers welcomed her into their homes and the world embraced her. But in the middle of Polly’s journey, 9/11 flung us all into a crossroads in world history and she found herself navigating a vastly changing world.
Polly’s long-awaited debut book, 3 MPH: The Adventures of One Woman’s Walk Around the World, is filled with humor and transformational moments. With razor-sharp observations, she writes with personal honesty, taking us into the pain and glory of being a woman in search of all that the world has to offer.
On her book tour, Polly’s next public speaking event is July 8th. She will personally autograph copies of her travel adventure at Joe's Crabshack in Parker, Colorado at the Parker Chamber Luncheon at 11:30 a.m.
