Continuing to grow in both the volume of patients for whom it cares and the breadth of services it provides, Chase Brexton determined that its growth and expanding diversity were not reflected in its previous mission and vision statements.
Chase Brexton Chief Executive Officer David H. Shippee noted, “We want the statement of our mission to clearly convey our passion for quality care, commitment to inclusion, and reach of our services so that we can successfully communicate to new patient populations as well as build community support for our services.”
Therefore, the organization launches its newly worded mission today, which states:
The mission of Chase Brexton Health Services is to provide compassionate, quality health care that honors diversity, inspires wellness, and improves our communities.
Chase Brexton’s future direction was reconstructed in the following vision statement:
Chase Brexton Health Services will advance their mission by:
- Delivering accessible and exceptional health care throughout the lifespan;
- Modeling excellent customer service provided by empowered and committed staff;
- Becoming renowned as a prominent health care provider for the LGBT community;
- Becoming nationally recognized as a leader in HIV care;
- Fostering a culture that promotes staff development and satisfaction; and
- Transforming community health through research and advocacy.
The comprehensive care and values of Chase Brexton are vital to our communities. Chase Brexton is thrilled to capture the heart of the organization through these simple statements. While the words of its mission and vision are a “change” in the way Chase Brexton states who they are, this does not signify a change in what Chase Brexton is as an organization and health care provider.
Chase Brexton provides the highest quality health care to all who walk through its doors, while continuing to honor each individual’s diversity. The organization seeks to foster a partnership with its patients, empowering them to take part in expanding their health and wellness; improving our communities, one life at a time.
Chase Brexton Health Services, Inc. is a private, non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center providing a range of clinical services from primary medical care to behavioral health services to dental, among others.
