Outskirts Press officially nominates approximately 5% of the books they publish for this prestigious contest held annually by the Colorado Independent Publishers Association.

Among the EVVY Award-winning books announced in the spring of 2011, three finalists will be selected by Outskirts Press as Best Book of the Year finalists. The authors will be notified and the books will receive extensive exposure on the Outskirts Press blog and social networks. An open vote will determine the winner and will be open to anyone, writer or not, published by Outskirts Press or not. The three finalists are encouraged to call upon their circle of friends and associates to participate in the voting. The voting for the Best Book of the Year Award will take place in the spring of 2011 at http://selfpublishingnews.com and the results will be public for all to see.
