Show Gold for Broomfield Hall
Derby, United Kingdom, July 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Floristry students at Derby College’s Broomfield Hall have clinched a coveted Gold medal for the 6th year running at Derbyshire County Show.
The students created an Alice in Wonderland scene with the plants and flowers enhanced by a number of props from metal flowers to playing cards all made from scratch at the College.
Floristry tutor Claire Lambeth explained: “We have enjoyed many years of success at Derbyshire County Show and we use the annual display as a working project to enable the students to work as a team and gain real industry experience as well as obviously gaining a great sense of achievement through success.”
Students are involved in display work and competitions throughout the year and have been to London and Nottingham this academic year with Bakewell Show planned in August.
