Barcode Printer Enclosure for Tight Spaces
Christiansburg, VA, July 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- CCS-Inc. is proud to introduce the newest addition to its Envirosealed® product line: the e2100 Barcode Printer Enclosure. To complement the already popular e2000, this slimmed down unit is only 15” wide, allowing it to fit into the limited space along a production line. A 20” deep sliding internal shelf holds the printer and enables it to extend completely out the front door. All printer maintenance is possible from the front, even for side access printers, eliminating clearance requirements on three sides of the enclosure.
Standard media access is granted through a 10” wide covered slot. The extra slot width allows for differences in media output locations on a wide variety of printers. It also permits the printer to be set off-center on the internal shelf if space for additional internal components is needed. The shelf has a perforated hole pattern and adjustable alignment pins that ensure quick and accurate repositioning after service. The media slot is covered to provide NEMA 12 protection. To achieve a NEMA 4/4X rating, CCS recommends the media access door option. This bottom-hinged door has a single latch for ease of use. The opening is over 10” wide so that it provides the same flexibility in printer placement as the standard slot.
The E2100 was designed for all industrial environments – including those with washdown procedures. The top slopes downward over two inches from the front to the rear of the enclosure, directing liquids away from the front door seal and preventing pooling on top. Like all Envirosealed products, the top door sealing flange is angled to make a gutter to channel liquids away from the door seal.
For cold environments, there is a 550W thermostatically-controlled heater option. Most customers find that this heater capacity is large enough to maintain the minimum printer operating temperature even with the media access door left continuously open. For hot environments, there is a 1500 BTU thermostatically-controlled Vortex cooler option. Internal sheet insulation is available for added protection in extreme temperatures. All e2100 models come with a thermostatically-controlled internal circulation fan to eliminate localized hot or cold spots within the enclosure. All Envirosealed enclosures are designed with minimum internal obstructions and a planned air circulation pattern to maximize self-cooling through the enclosure skin.
The E2100 is available in powder coated cold rolled steel or type 304 stainless steel. Standard mounting options include fixed and height-adjustable pedestals, desktop brackets, and wallmount brackets. There are three pre-punched cable entry locations (for use with NEMA 12 or 4X cable seals) to allow flexibility in locating cables or conduit.
