Entrepreneur Stephanie Tillman Celebrates 8 Years of Freedom from Homelessness, Company Growth
Eight years ago, Stephanie Tillman was homeless. Today, she is the CEO of a company that is exploding across the Kansas City area.
Overland Park, KS, July 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Stephanie Tillman, owner and CEO of Crossover Graphics, celebrated eight years of freedom from homelessness on July 1, 2010. Stephanie founded Crossover Graphics, a design firm headquartered in Overland Park, KS, in 2007 and the company has grown explosively every year since its inception.
Eight years ago, Stephanie Tillman and her husband and CIO, Shomari Tillman, were evicted from their home and landed in the Salvation Army’s Johnson County Family Lodge in Olathe, KS. They and their two children had nothing except determination and faith in God with which to stabilize their lives. Stephanie established contacts through the Salvation Army and within four months moved out of the Family Lodge. God’s provision secured her a marketing position at an engineering firm, but she soon began trying her hand in graphic design and found a new niche for herself.
Stephanie Tillman taught herself how to use various design programs before she left her job and established Crossover Graphics in 2007. Since then, the company has grown to become a multi-million dollar company and employ ten full-time staff members. Sales from 2008-2009 increased 564.36% and are projected to continue rising.
“We’re not just a growing company,” Stephanie says. “We’re growing people. We are excited about our future, because if we can come from homelessness to where we are today, anything is possible.”
