The very next weekend, others will take a page out of Norman Rockwell’s world, and in their birthday suits celebrate their independence -- from clothing -- at the 2nd annual Guinness World Records™ “Skinny Dip Event.”
Living Waters Spa is a local host site for this event, that last year took place at 139 locations with 13,674 skinny dippers under the auspices of the American Association for Nude Recreation (www.aanr.com), the contract association with Guinness World Records.

Skinny-dipping, a wholesome tradition as old as mankind and frequently honored in art and movies, celebrates the natural joy of plunging into water without hindrance of clothing.
In conformance with stated rules, all participants to be counted must be completely nude during the skinny-dip. Efforts will be made to accommodate first-time skinny-dippers. As with all Guinness World Records™ events, all record attempts must be verified by a designated “member in standing” of the local community.
Living Waters Spa is an award winning European-style clothing optional mineral water spa located in the Palm Springs desert oasis of Desert Hot Springs in sunny Southern California. We've been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Ellen Degeneres / AOL.com and others. At Living Waters Spa they pump water from their mineral spring well and this pure water flows through their pools - like a little river - at the rate of 15-20 gallons a minute.
