Local Business Helps Raise $58,000 for Student Group
Dallas, TX, July 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- As they prepared for their annual summer mission trip, the youth choir of First Baptist Church eagerly accepted the aid of local business Access Self Storage - to the tune of $58,000.
As in years past, Access donated moving trucks and storage spaces to the choir to prepare for the world’s largest garage sale, a yearly event that is the choir’s single largest fundraiser. This year, the garage sale, which was held in Fair Park’s Grand Place exhibition hall, brought in nearly $60,000 to offset the cost of sending two hundred vocalists, instrumentalists, and leaders to the East Coast for a ten-day tour.
Access’s affiliation with the choir has been a long-running blessing to both organizations and one that has enabled almost a thousand students to see portions of the world they might otherwise be unable to visit.
