The Gallery at 764 West and the Schultz Area Artz Council hosts “Who's Afraid of Custom Framing,” a seminar on framing for resale by Scott Jarisch on September 11 at 10:00 AM.

New Braunfels, TX, July 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- How art is presented is extremely important to selling art. In "Who's Afraid of Custom Framing, "Scott Jarisch, professional framer and artist, discusses everything you always wanted to know about framing but were afraid to ask. Offering tips and tricks used by custom framers, Jarisch shows you how to do it yourself and still look professional. Jarisch covers framing materials including wiring, backing, tapes, mounting, glass and plexi. Discussing the differences between regular custom framing and framing for resale, Jarisch tells you how to prepare art for shows and exhibitions and how and when to recycle used frames. At the end of the session Jarisch will answer your questions and concerns on framing. "Who's Afraid of Custom Framing" will be held Sept. 11 at The Gallery at 764 West with a fee of $5 for SAAC members and $8 for all others.

Scott Jarisch has a Bachelor of Arts in Art from the University of Texas at Austin. Trained primary in pottery and sculpture, Jarisch’s art ranges from classical pieces to punk with an attitude. His pen and ink crosshatching is especially hard edged and intense. Jarisch’s passionate use of line and patterns is also evident in his oil and acrylic paintings. Skilled in woodworking, Jarisch has been a professional custom framer for the last fifteen years and in 1998 opened his own gallery and custom framing shop in New Braunfels, Texas.
