Plus One Partners Lends Helping Hand for WakeMed Children’s Hospital

Prominent Triangle sales consulting firm co-sponsors golf event raising over $65,000

Raleigh, NC, July 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Plus One Partners, a Triangle-based strategic sales consulting firm that specializes in driving top-line revenue, sponsored a recent WakeMed Children’s Hospital golf challenge to raise money for the hospital’s new pediatric care facilities.

Brian Baker, founder and managing partner of Plus One Partners, participated in the June tournament and served a key fundraising roll by recruiting participants and sponsors. Seven teams came together to for the event and raised over $65,000 toward the completion of WakeMed’s new Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“Working on both sides of an event like this to support a project that will do a lot of good for local families was an incredible experience,” said Baker, who has played an active volunteer fundraising role for WakeMed for more than five years now. “WakeMed is the premier provider of healthcare services for children across North Carolina, and partnering with an organization dedicated to that cause is something very important to me personally as a husband, a father and a member of this community.”

Demand for pediatric services across the Triangle is steadily outpacing supply, and the population is still growing rapidly. The new Neonatal ICU project will provide life-saving services for thousands of families throughout the state, and the money raised by Plus One Partners and other golf challenge sponsors will go directly to support the ongoing construction process.
