BlitZ & S , Aussie Hip Hop at Woodford Folk Festival 06 – 07
Showcasing homegrown talent, Little Rascals Records hip hop duo, BlitZ & S hit the stage bustin out 'tha shiz' at Woodford Folk Festival this new year.
Cairns, Australia, December 14, 2006 --(PR.com)-- After putting on great performances at The Dreaming Festival in July this year, which is also at Woodford, festival planners were impressed and invited BlitZ & S back to grace the stage at the renowned Woodford Folk Festival. DJ BlitZ & MCS are label boss, and typically music obsessed, Brett Caporn and the talented MC, performer and dancer, Sarah Patrick whom is an emerging face of Indigenous Young Australians as both a Hip Hop performer and arts-worker ardently striving to engage Australia’s young indigenous community.
A different style of Hip Hop is presented by this hot collaboration of talented Aussie artists. Sarah has been dancing from a very young age and song-writing from her teens, in her early 20's whilst in Cairns performing in RnB duo MIZ, through the Q Music A-Venue program, she met LRRecords and BlitZ & S was born. S MC style is often a bit stired-up, wild and weird. S has sweeter and smoother styles as well and a truth that is real yet light-heated. Combined with the production and deejaying from BlitZ, a potent mix of fat beats, bass and femMC action is created, making a dynamic and exciting live show!
The duo will also be delivering two DJ and Performer workshops as well as participating in the Woodford Emerging Artists Program, metoring emerging electro act, Panika. Brett and Sarah have managed to maintain and grow a unique and creative relationship over the past 3 years, overcoming the distance barrier by living in two different cities as well as nurturing their own individual careers as youth and music industry professionals. Woodford presents an opportunity for both Brett and Sarah to showcase their work and talent, promote the upcoming album, as well as share, celebrate and be rewarded for their combined youth, music and arts industries experience and acheivements.
The Woodford Folk Festival is an event of international standing. Held over six days and six nights it presents more than 2000 performers and 400 events with concerts, dances, workshops, forums, street theatre, writers' panels, film festival, comedy sessions, acoustic jams, social dialogue and debate, an entire children's festival, art and craft workshops, late night cabarets and special events including a spectacular fire event. The Festival features the cream of Australian performers and a generous gathering of special international guests,
