Feb4 Productions Announces the World Premiere of the Controversial Educational Reform Short, IEP

The official press release for the world premiere of "IEP." "IEP" is a dramatic short about the need for educational reform via the plight of one Los Angeles child.

Los Angeles, CA, July 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Feb4 Productions announced the world premiere of the short film, "IEP" at the 14th Annual LA Shorts Fest, Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 at the Laemmle Sunset 5, 8000 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90046 at 1 pm.

IEP (which stands for Individualized Educational Plan) details the fictional story of Xavier Poison, an 8-year-old African-American boy in South Los Angeles and what happens when his behavioral problems are misdiagnosed, making him a candidate for special education. The 14-minute short stars Tracy Vilar (Saved, The Steve Harvey Show) and newcomer Jalen Harris. A Q&A will immediately follow with director-producer Jason Gilmore (How Shawn Parker Fell in Love) and screenwriter-actress Trenekia Danielle, the latter is also a school psychologist.

Tickets are $12 for IEP and the other five short films shown in its block. They will be available beginning July 12th at the festival's website, www.lashortsfest.com.
