Mann Accepts Admissions Position at Magnolia Manor
Americus, GA, July 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Magnolia Manor Retirement Center is pleased to announce Molly Mann as the Admissions Director for independent and assisted living services. Originally serving as Service Coordinator on Magnolia Manor’s Macon campus, Mann recently moved to Albany with her husband. Mann brings seven years experience in social work. Before moving to Georgia she spent three years with a small non-profit organization in Plano, Texas where she worked as a Service Coordinator before moving into a management position.
Earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2003, Mann joined AmeriCorps and was an outreach worker for a “work and housing” program for homeless veterans in Las Vegas. In fact she credits her work with the program as the most rewarding experience of her life. When asked if that experience is attributed to her passion for serving older adults, Mann responds with, “My love for social work came well before then.” Mann spent many years of her childhood living next door to her grandparents. As active volunteers, her grandparents recruited Mann at an early age to volunteer at the V.A. Medical Center. She would volunteer a few nights a month playing cards and Bingo with patients.
“I am very much a people person” states Mann, “and after working in management, I quickly realized I prefer hands-on work with residents. Although my work at Magnolia Manor Retirement Center will be quite different than my experience in social work, I am excited about the new challenge.” She and her husband James have purchased their first home together in Leesburg. They both love to travel, attend concerts, and walk their dogs, Kayne and Roxy.
As the Admissions Director, Mann will develop and maintain relationships with businesses and churches as well as provide tours of Magnolia Manor’s independent and assisted living housing opportunities.
If you would like to contact Molly Mann to welcome her to Southwest Georgia or for a tour of Magnolia Manor, please contact her at (229) 931-5923.
